
TCA National Tech Summit to Supercharge Technology Growth in Australia.
29 May 2023, Brisbane – The Tech Council of Australia (TCA) alongside the Queensland Government today announced that the inaugural TCA National Tech Summit – Forging Australia’s Tech Future would be hosted in Brisbane reflecting the significant importance of Queensland to Australia’s technology sector.
TCA CEO Kate Pounder believes Brisbane is an exceptional choice as the first location for TCA’s National Summit. “We’re proud to host this conference in Queensland as Brisbane emerges as one of Australia’s tech hotspots,” she said.
“TCA research has shown that South-East Queensland is one of the fastest growing area for tech jobs in Australia, with five of the top ten regions for tech jobs growth. By bringing conferences like TCA National Tech Summit – Forging Australia’s Tech Future here we are aiming to supercharge this growth”.
The summit brings together more than 350 established and emerging technology leaders from across Australia from 20-21 July. The summit will focus on inspiring the next generation of founders, exploring emerging technologies, and securing greater investment for the tech sector.
“The Summit will bring Australia’s leading tech minds including Robyn Denholm, Chair of the Tech Council and Tesla, Scott Farquhar Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Atlassian, Mel Silva, Australian CEO, Google, Richard White, CEO of WiseTech, and Dr Cathy Foley, Australia’s Chief Scientist to Queensland. They will join Queensland powerhouse companies like TechnologyOne, Go1, Swyftx ,and Soda to inspire our state’s next generation of start-up superstars,” Ms Pounder said.
The conference will be held at one of Brisbane’s most exciting and sustainable precincts Howard Smith Wharves and will also tour some of Queensland’s most exciting tech companies and institutions, including Go1 in Logan and The Precinct, Fortitude Valley.
Ms Pounder also acknowledged the incredible support offered by the Queensland Government in bringing this event to Brisbane.
